The Nanoleaf Essentials Lightstrip is a great product. I’ve wanted to put accent lighting in the kitchen for a while (below the kick boards and under/atop the cabinets) but the high cost of other smart brands’ lightstrips meant doing so would be very expensive. Enter Nanoleaf, with a reasonably priced but high quality option.
They are easy to fit (and can be cut and/or extended to suit the space) with the self adhesive back, and feature a handy controller on the end of the lightstrip (also with adhesive pads for mounting) for those who want a tactile switch to cover the basic functions. However it’s via the Nanoleaf app that the product comes to life, with scenes which allow light cycles and flows, which you can customise to suit.
The icing on the cake is how responsive they are, thanks to Thread. I have a HomePod mini, which acts as the Border Router to enable the Thread protocol instead of Bluetooth, and with Thread, control by app or voice is virtually instantaneous - zero delay.
I’ve already bought three 2m lightstrips plus a 1m extension and I’ll definitely be adding more. Highly recommended.
